As in the past the league has attempted to create a spares list for this upcoming season with only one spare (goalie) expressing interest. Should you know of someone kindly pass the information along.......
FYI
9 full time players played "double headers" (both games 12 and 1) on 8 or more occasions during last year. This means they spared 8 plus times during the year. One player spared 9 times during the half season that he signed up for and another player spared 16 times in a full schedule.
Is there an issue here!!
Do you think there should be a limit on the number of games someone can spare???

I think calling upon guys who are already a part of the league before calling up someone else who is not is preferrable.
The captains do go back to the premiere guys all the time. Maybe in an effort to replace a premiere player, maybe because all they have available it that guy who always shows up early just in case.
Last year our team got into roster issues partway through the year with only about 5 regulars showing up. I know having subs was welcome. I don't know that I would discourage anyone from coming out early or staying after a game.
That being said, it would be nice if the captains spread the spares around. Sometimes after a game it does seem to always be the same guyes that get called up even if others are willing to spare.
Not a perfect system we have in place and one I think works fine also.
