CPR / AED Training Course Date ***UPDATED***

UPDATE - This event was well attended and was very informative. Congratulations to those that organized and those that attended.

Bill K. of the Red team is pleased to announce a CPR/AED training course has been established.

Date: February 20th (Family Day) at 18:30
Location: Barley Mow Westboro location 399 Richmond Rd, Ottawa, ON K2A 0E9 in the basement
Duration: 2 to 2 1/2 hours
Cost: $20 per person and is approximate based on number of attendees

This is NOT a certificate course ,which generally take 2 days, it is a course specifically designed for hockey teams in an arena situation. It will give us the knowledge for CPR and the AED "defibrillator". As of now there is only 15 spots open so please confirm with Bill or Mark ASAP.

Players Fees
Those of you that paid part of your league fees... just a gentle reminder that the final instalment is due December 17th at the latest.

Christmas Get Together
We plan on meeting at the Prescott Hotel on December 10th after your game and possibly the league will provide a pizza or two for those in attendance.

Dark Nights (Days without games)
December 24th and 31st there are no games scheduled.

AED/CPR/First Aid Training
The league is continuing to explore training in all or some of the following areas - AED, CPR and First Aid.
Someone has stepped up to take the lead on this, more to follow when available.

Spots Still Available
There are still spots available on three of the four teams. We also may have one goal-tending spot open. Please pass the word around and let us know ASAP if you find someone.

Next Season
We are aware that most of you have joined our league because of the location and/or time slot. Please let us know if you would continue if the day and or time would change. Give it some thought and start the conversation. A more formal poll with follow.

Hockey Trip to Russia (Moscow - St. Petersburg) 2017

Greetings PHL Players, I am pleased to inform you that Steve B. (Captain of Team Black) is looking for 15 adventurous PHL players to join him for his 2nd annual Hockey Trip to Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg) next May (9-17).

The trip will include playing in the old timers' division of the 2nd annual International Hockey Friendship Cup in Moscow from May 10 to 14, and three days in beautiful St. Petersburg. Besides great hockey in an international setting, there will be plenty of opportunities for sight seeing and partying with other players and Russian hosts in both cities.

Please note a more complete flyer will be arriving via email as it has personal coordinates. Given the advance time needed to book flights and hotels, I encourage you to contact Steve B. directly or Mark T. by December 15 to receive additional information and reserve a spot.

Addition notes: Spouses and children are welcome.
